Super Eagles Star Umar Sadiq Acquires Ranchers Bees, Eyes NPFL Promotion

Super Eagles striker Umar Sadiq has successfully acquired Nigeria National League (NNL) side Ranchers Bees, marking a significant step into football administration for the Real Sociedad forward.

The acquisition was made in partnership with prominent Nigerian politician Bello El-Rufai. As part of the new leadership structure, former professional footballer and ex-teammate of Sadiq, Nura Abdullahi, has been appointed as the club’s new president.

Under the new ownership, Ranchers Bees are setting their sights on earning promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) in the upcoming season.

Once a dominant force in Nigerian football during the early 1990s, Ranchers Bees is remembered for nurturing notable talents such as Daniel Amokachi, Dominic Iorfa, and Davidson Owumi. The club’s crowning achievement came in 1993 when they lifted the WAFU Cup before gradually fading from the spotlight in subsequent years.
