Former Big Brother Naija housemate Kiddwaya has threatened legal action against individuals behind a viral video allegedly depicting him in an intimate swimming pool moment with an unidentified woman.
The reality TV personality dismissed the footage as fake, alleging that it was generated using artificial intelligence.
The clip, which has circulated across social media platforms, has attracted reactions from users following its purported depiction of the former housemate.
In a statement posted on his verified X account on Saturday, Kiddwaya said he rarely responds to online rumours but considered it necessary to address the video because of its growing circulation.
“This is so fake Haha. I don’t usually address these things online, but I have to address this FAKE AI video of me circulating,” he wrote.
He also warned those responsible for creating and distributing the footage against further use of his identity, disclosing that his legal representatives were monitoring the situation.
“If you are going to steal my identity, then do it properly. I take this matter seriously; my lawyers are watching very carefully. Kirikiri prison direct,” he added.
Kiddwaya’s response comes amid concerns over the use of artificial intelligence to create fabricated images and videos of public figures.
