Former Nigeria U17 international, Udoh David Akpan, has been awarded the Player of the Month in the Maltese Premier League following a series of exceptional displays for FC Mosta.
The 22-year-old goalkeeper has been in stellar form since March, delivering match-defining performances that have helped FC Mosta earn valuable points both at home and on the road.
Akpan’s impressive command of the penalty area, quick reflexes, and crucial saves have drawn praise from fans and football analysts alike, firmly establishing him as one of the standout goalkeepers in the league.
Beyond boosting his club’s standing, his recent form has also elevated his profile, with many tipping him as a rising star with the potential to achieve even greater heights in European football.
Reacting to the award, Akpan remained humble, crediting his teammates, coaching staff, and supporters for their collective contribution.
“This is a big honour for me. I’m happy to be recognized for my efforts, but it’s a team effort. We’ve worked hard together, and this is a reward for all of us,” he said.
