Everton have become the latest club to express interest in Getafe midfielder Christantus Uche.
Relatively unknown before his recent breakthrough, Uche joined Getafe last summer from Spanish second-tier side CD Ceuta. Since then, the 22-year-old Nigerian has quickly risen to prominence, becoming a vital part of José Bordalás’ squad.
Over the course of the season, Uche made 38 appearances, registering four goals and seven assists for the Azulones—performances that have not gone unnoticed across Europe.
The dynamic midfielder has already been linked with moves to Atlético Madrid, Newcastle United, Leeds United, and Brentford.
Now, according to Estadio Deportivo, Everton are expected to submit a formal offer for Uche in the near future as they look to strengthen their midfield.
