Chelsea have confirmed that Emi Martinez will take over the club’s No. 1 shirt following his recent arrival from Aston Villa.
The Argentine goalkeeper joined the Blues last week and made his debut against Brighton, while Robert Sanchez was left out of the squad.
Sanchez has since moved to Como on a season-long loan, paving the way for Martinez to inherit the No. 1 jersey after previously wearing No. 26.
To acknowledge the change, Martinez has offered to sign all “Martinez 26” shirts purchased through the official Club Megastore or Chelsea’s official website.
Supporters wishing to take advantage of the offer must bring the shirts to Stamford Bridge, together with proof of purchase, by October 4.
