Nigerian Afrobeats sensation Iyanya has dedicated a powerful song to the victims of recent herdsmen attacks in Benue State.
The tragic killings in Benue have recently drawn widespread attention, particularly after reports emerged of over 200 people being massacred in Yelewata, located in Guma Local Government Area.
In response to the tragedy, Iyanya expressed his deep condolences through music, offering prayers for divine intervention and healing for the affected communities. He encouraged the people of Benue to hold onto their faith, reminding them that God has the power to transform their sorrow into joy.
Sharing the video on his X (formerly Twitter) account, Iyanya captioned it simply:
“We are praying for the people of Benue.”
In the video, he said:
“I want to dedicate this song to all the people of Benue State. It’s a difficult time for the entire country because we all share your pain.
I pray God comforts everyone who has lost a friend, a brother, a mother, a father, or a family member. May God intervene and bring peace.”
Iyanya’s tribute serves as a heartfelt reminder of solidarity and hope amid the ongoing crisis in Benue.
