Rumours circulating online on Thursday, April 23, 2026, alleged that the actor had died following a prolonged battle with kidney failure. The reports quickly gained traction across social media platforms, prompting concern among fans and colleagues.
Responding on Friday via his Instagram page, Don Richard dismissed the claims, assuring the public that he is in good health. He expressed gratitude for the concern shown by supporters while criticising those responsible for spreading the false information.
The actor emphasised that he remains “alive and well,” urging bloggers to be more responsible with their posts.
Don Richard’s name had previously made headlines in July 2025 when he publicly sought financial assistance to manage his kidney-related health challenges. At the time, he revealed that he had sold personal assets, including his house and cars, to cover medical expenses.
Despite his past health struggles, his latest statement confirms that the reports of his death are unfounded.
