Chelsea wrapped up two more deals on transfer deadline day, confirming squad changes involving Marc Guiu and Jimmy-Jay Morgan.
In a statement on their official website, the Blues announced that Guiu has been recalled from his loan spell at Sunderland. The 19-year-old striker made three appearances during his short stay with the Black Cats, scoring in a League Cup tie against Huddersfield Town.
Guiu joined Chelsea from Spanish champions Barcelona last summer and has already registered six goals in 16 appearances across all competitions for the London club.
Meanwhile, Chelsea also confirmed that Jimmy-Jay Morgan has secured a loan move to League One side Peterborough United for the remainder of the season. The young forward, who signed from Southampton in January 2023, has been a regular with the club’s Under-21s and spent part of last season on loan at Gillingham.
These latest developments follow Chelsea’s earlier confirmation of transfer deadline day deals for Facundo Buonanotte and Alex Matos.
