Atalanta to Decide Ademola Lookman’s Future After Transfer Window Closes

Atalanta director Tony D’Amico has revealed that the club will determine the future of Ademola Lookman once the summer transfer window concludes.

Lookman recently returned to Atalanta’s training ground for pre-season preparations after submitting a transfer request earlier this month. The 27-year-old also notably skipped training sessions in an attempt to force a move to Inter Milan. However, Inter have withdrawn their interest after failing to meet Atalanta’s €50 million valuation for the winger.

Atalanta is expected to impose significant disciplinary measures on Lookman for his conduct. Speaking about the situation, D’Amico expressed the club’s disappointment, stating, “We are sorry for everyone, but right now this is the situation. We’ll make assessments at the end of the transfer window. As of today, there’s disappointment,” as quoted by TMW.

Lookman remains under contract with Atalanta, also known as La Dea, for another two years, though a departure before the transfer window closes remains a possibility for the Nigeria international.
