Chelsea have generated a record £519 million from player sales and loan fees this summer after bringing in 10 first-team players for a combined £328 million.
The figures represent a world record for a single transfer window, while internal calculations put the Blues’ net spending at minus £120 million.
Enzo Fernandez’s £125 million move to Manchester City has also made Chelsea the first club to record a profit on the sale of a player previously signed for more than £100 million.
The club’s major permanent departures include Fernandez to Manchester City for £125 million, Nicolas Jackson to Aston Villa for £65 million, Marc Cucurella for around £51.8 million, Liam Delap and Andrey Santos for £50 million each, and Trevoh Chalobah to Como for approximately £30 million.
Tyrique George also left Stamford Bridge permanently for Everton in a £24 million deal.
