Lagbaja to Headline AfroJazz Fest 2026 in Lagos

Veteran Nigerian musician Lagbaja is set to headline the 2026 edition of AfroJazz Fest, scheduled to hold on December 23 at Amore Gardens, Lekki, Lagos.

The masked performer, whose real name is Bisola Ologunde, will feature at the festival as organisers prepare to announce the full lineup of performers.

AfroJazz Fest co-founder Koye Sax described the upcoming performance as a significant moment, recalling that he shared the stage with Lagbaja 11 years ago as an emerging saxophonist.

“Eleven years ago, I shared the stage with Lagbaja as a budding saxophonist, and it changed how I saw live performance. This December, I get to share the stage with him again, this time as the founder of AfroJazz Fest, the festival bringing him back to the stage,” he said.

Co-founded by Koye Sax and Tade Ade, AfroJazz Fest seeks to build an artist-centred ecosystem for African live music, with a focus on creating opportunities for live performances.
