Arsenal Loan Goalkeeper Karl Hein to Werder Bremen; Barcelona’s Casado Rejects Summer Exit

Arsenal have officially announced that goalkeeper Karl Hein has joined Bundesliga side Werder Bremen on a season-long loan. The North London club revealed the move in a statement published on their website on Friday.

Hein, 23, became part of the Arsenal squad in 2018 and made his senior debut in November 2022 during a Carabao Cup third-round clash against Brighton & Hove Albion.

In a separate update from Spain, Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick confirmed that midfielder Marc Casado has opted to remain at Camp Nou despite interest during the summer transfer window.

Speaking at a press conference ahead of Barcelona’s LaLiga fixture against Levante on Saturday, Flick stated:
“He doesn’t want to leave, and I also want to keep him.”
“It’s going to be a difficult season, and we need all the players. He gives us confidence.”
