Inter Milan Set Deadline for Lookman Deal Amid Tough Atalanta Talks

Inter Milan president Giuseppe Marotta has described the coming days as “crucial” in the club’s bid to sign Nigerian forward Ademola Lookman from Atalanta.
The Nerazzurri have expressed strong interest in acquiring Lookman to strengthen their attacking options ahead of the new season. However, negotiations between the two Serie A sides have encountered hurdles, with both clubs yet to reach a breakthrough on transfer terms.
Marotta, speaking to reporters, confirmed that Inter are eager to wrap up the deal soon or shift their attention elsewhere. “This week will be crucial for the Lookman deal,” he said. “We are in talks with Atalanta — we want Lookman, but we also respect their position. In two to three days, we hope to proceed and complete the signing. If not, we’ll move on and pursue other targets.”
