Timi Dakolo Accuses Royal Air Maroc of Missing Luggage Since June, Demands Swift Action
Singer says airline failed to deliver his bag on June 26 flight to Freetown; calls issue a case of theft
Nigerian singer Timi Dakolo has publicly called out Morocco’s national carrier, Royal Air Maroc (RAM), accusing the airline of failing to deliver his luggage since June 26, 2025.
In a video posted on his Instagram page Thursday, Dakolo recounted the events surrounding his trip from Lagos to Freetown via Morocco, where he claims the airline mishandled his priority-tagged luggage despite his business class status.
“I saw my bag from where I was seated,” Dakolo said. “I was told they were going to put it in. I got to Freetown and couldn’t find my bag. I filled a form, kept calling, sent emails, even contacted Nahco. But since the 26th of June, nothing. It’s beginning to look like they stole my stuff.”
The singer stressed that the missing items were not random possessions but important personal belongings. “Air Maroc please return my full luggage. It’s not anyhow luggage oo,” he added.
The issue has since gained traction online, with media personality Daddy Freeze joining the call for answers. In a separate Instagram video, he urged the airline and aviation authorities to investigate the situation.
“Air Maroc, please what is going on with Timi Dakolo’s bag?” he asked. “Can the authorities please look into this?”
As of the time of this report, Royal Air Maroc has yet to issue an official response to the allegation.
The incident highlights growing concerns over airline baggage handling and passenger complaints, particularly on international routes connecting West Africa. Many netizens have expressed frustration over similar experiences, prompting fresh calls for improved oversight by aviation regulators.
