Super Falcons Slip One Spot to 37th in Latest FIFA Women’s World Rankings

Nigeria’s Super Falcons have experienced a marginal decline in the global rankings, dropping one place in the most recent FIFA Women’s World Ranking released on Thursday.

The team, previously positioned at 36th in the world, has now moved to 37th place.2 This slight decrease is primarily attributed to the Super Falcons’ inactivity during the last official FIFA women’s international break, a period where other national teams played competitive or friendly matches, allowing them to gain or lose ranking points.

Despite the global slip, Coach Justine Madugu’s side successfully maintained their position as the number one team in Africa, underscoring their consistent dominance on the continent.
