Tinubu, petroleum ministers to participate Nigeria’s 2024 energy summit

President Bola Tinubu is set to join other stakeholders in Abuja to engage in discussions about the evolving energy landscape, amid global efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by embracing clean energy sources at the seventh edition of the Nigeria International Energy Summit from February 26 to March 1, 2024.

The summit themed ‘Navigating the New Energy World Order: Security, Transition and Finance’ will take place at the Presidential Banquet Hall, Aso Villa, Abuja.

The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board has been announced as a confirmed Platinum Sponsor for NIES2024, as revealed by information on its X handle on Friday.

Also expected to participate in the summit are the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Oil), Heineken Lokpobiri, and the Minister of State Petroleum Resources (Gas), Ekperikpe Ekpo.

The new energy world order symbolizes the shifting dynamics in the energy sector, driven by the rising prominence of renewable energy sources that are gradually supplanting the old energy world order dominated by fossil fuels.

NIES 2024 is an official energy, oil, and gas event of the Federal Government, co-hosted by the Nigeria National Petroleum Company Limited.
