Former Besiktas manager Sergen Yalcin has named Victor Osimhen as the Turkish Super Lig Player of the Season, praising the Nigerian striker for his outstanding contributions during his loan spell at Galatasaray.
Yalcin believes Osimhen fully deserves the prestigious award following a remarkable season that saw the 26-year-old play a pivotal role in Galatasaray’s dominant campaign. Osimhen, who joined Galatasaray from Napoli, helped the team secure both the league title and the domestic cup. He scored 36 goals and provided eight assists in 40 appearances across all competitions.
Speaking to habersarikirmizi, Yalcin stated: “I think the player of the season is Osimhen. It is very difficult to choose players from other teams anyway. If we were to form an 11, you would get at least 6-7 players from Galatasaray. You wouldn’t just get a right back and a left back.”
