Rema’s Rave & Roses Ultra Becomes First African Album to Hit 3 Billion Streams on YouTube Music

Nigerian music sensation Divine Ikubor, professionally known as Rema, has achieved a historic milestone as his debut album Rave & Roses Ultra becomes the first African album to surpass 3 billion streams on YouTube Music.
The achievement was officially revealed on Wednesday, marking a new streaming record for African music on the global stage.
Leading the charge is Rema’s global smash hit “Calm Down”, along with its chart-topping remix featuring American pop star Selena Gomez. The track has played a pivotal role in propelling the album’s streaming numbers to record-breaking levels.
In addition to its YouTube success, Rave & Roses Ultra holds the title of the most streamed African album on Spotify, with an impressive 3.9 billion streams to date. It is also the first African album to cross the 2 billion stream mark on Spotify, and the only Nigerian project to have ever reached that milestone.
Rema’s historic feat not only solidifies his place as a leading force in the Afrobeats movement but also underscores the global appetite for African music.
