Kaduna Campaign Flag-Off: Uba Sani Rallies Support for Tinubu’s Re-Election

With the 2027 presidential election drawing closer, Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani has called on political appointees from the state to intensify grassroots mobilisation and rally support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid.

The call comes ahead of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign flag-off scheduled to hold in Kaduna on October 24.

Speaking at a strategic meeting in Kaduna, Sani urged political appointees at both state and federal levels to strengthen coordination, close ranks and expand grassroots engagement to secure victory for the ruling party in 2027.

The governor said Tinubu had demonstrated a strong commitment to Kaduna through investments in infrastructure, education and economic development, adding that the state must translate its appreciation into political support to sustain the gains.

Sani cited projects including the Kaduna light rail, Abuja–Kaduna–Kano highway, Kaduna–Birnin Gwari road and Kaduna–Kano rail project, alongside investments in federal tertiary institutions, as evidence of the administration’s commitment to the state.

He stressed that sustained cooperation between federal appointees and the state government was essential to turning the investments into lasting economic opportunities, improved security and better living conditions for residents.

The meeting was attended by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas; Minister of Environment, Balarabe Lawal; Chairman of the National Sports Commission, Shehu Dikko; and other political appointees.

Participants pledged to work with APC leaders and other stakeholders to strengthen the party’s structures across Kaduna’s 23 local government areas.

They also welcomed the decision to host Tinubu’s re-election campaign flag-off in Kaduna, citing the state’s strategic political importance, federal infrastructure projects and the appointment of its indigenes to key national positions.
