Former Banyana Banyana captain Amanda Dlamini has expressed confidence in South Africa’s ability to overcome the formidable Super Falcons in their upcoming clash.
Nigeria’s Super Falcons have been dominant throughout the tournament, boasting the best attacking record with nine goals scored and none conceded, underlining their defensive strength.
South Africa, on the other hand, progressed to the semi-finals after a tense penalty shootout victory over Senegal in the quarter-finals.
Speaking to cafonline.com, Dlamini highlighted the need for composure if Banyana Banyana are to break through Nigeria’s resilient backline.
“For South Africa, I think the best way to unlock such a solid defence line of Nigeria – I think the best of the tournament so far – is just for them to show great composure in the 18-yard box,” she said.
Dlamini remains optimistic about Banyana Banyana’s chances, emphasizing that discipline and precision in front of goal could be the key to victory.
