President Bola Tinubu has bestowed the national honour of Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON) on members of the Super Falcons in recognition of their recent triumph at the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
In addition to the prestigious national awards, President Tinubu also announced a financial reward for the team, with each of the 24 players receiving the naira equivalent of $100,000. Members of the technical crew are also to be awarded the naira equivalent of $50,000 each.
