Former Real Madrid and Manchester United forward Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez has completed a move to USL Championship expansion side Atletico Dallas.
The 38-year-old striker signed a two-year contract with the club on Monday, becoming Atletico Dallas’ first-ever signing.
The club confirmed the acquisition in a post on X, describing the Mexico national team’s all-time leading scorer as a major addition to its squad.
“Chicharito is BACK. @atleticodallas has announced Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez as its first signing in club history,” the club wrote.
Hernandez last featured for Mexican side Chivas before departing the club in November.
The former Bayer Leverkusen and West Ham attacker scored 52 goals in 109 appearances for Mexico during his international career.
