Simi to Host Intimate Live Concert at Hard Rock Cafe Lagos on Independence Day
The award-winning singer promises a no-VIP, fan-focused show on October 1, with tickets capped at ₦10,000.
Nigerian singer and songwriter Simi has announced that she will perform live at Hard Rock Cafe, Lagos, on October 1, 2025.
The announcement, made via Instagram, came with Simi explaining that the decision was spontaneous. She said the idea struck her a few weeks ago, adding that the concert is her way of reconnecting with her loyal fan base, the “SimiArmy.”
Simi revealed that she and her husband, fellow singer Adekunle Gold, would fund the event themselves since her team had little time to secure sponsors.
“The tickets are ₦10,000 flat for everyone. No VIP seats. I would do it for free, but we have to manage access somehow,” she wrote, noting that the venue has limited capacity.
She encouraged fans to buy tickets early, warning that space is tight. “Even if there are 10 people there, we’re starting early. I just want to sing with you,” she added.
In a lighthearted tone, Simi admitted she might need help recalling some of her lyrics on stage, urging fans to revisit her albums ahead of the show.
The October 1 concert is expected to be an intimate evening of music and connection, marking one of Simi’s most personal performances yet.
