Osas Ighodaro Lands Lead Role in Nolly-Bollywood Series ‘Imported Bahu’

Nollywood actress Osas Ighodaro has been announced as one of the lead stars of Imported Bahu, an upcoming Nolly-Bollywood micro-drama series that explores themes of love, family and hidden secrets.

The project was unveiled by filmmaker and executive producer Hamisha Daryani Ahuja, who shared details of the production on Instagram.

Imported Bahu marks the first vertical micro-drama series from Forever 7 Entertainment and features a cast led by Ighodaro and Bollywood actor Rajniesh Duggall.

According to the producers, the series centres on a cross-cultural love story that takes unexpected turns as family dynamics and long-held secrets come to light.

The drama is scheduled to premiere on July 2 and is expected to further strengthen creative collaborations between Nigeria’s film industry and India’s entertainment sector.

Ahuja, whose previous projects include the Nolly-Bollywood productions Namaste Wahala and Postcards, has built a reputation for bringing together African and Indian storytelling traditions.

Announcing the project, the producer described Imported Bahu as a story filled with romance, family intrigue and unexpected twists.

“For months, we’ve been keeping a secret. Today, we’re finally sharing it,” Ahuja wrote, introducing the series as Forever 7 Entertainment’s first venture into the vertical micro-drama format.

With its blend of Nollywood and Bollywood talent, Imported Bahu is expected to attract audiences from both industries while expanding the growing market for short-form digital content.
