Davido calls BUA boss Abdul Samad Rabiu ‘twin’ after Mecca photos

Afrobeats star Davido has drawn attention online with a playful reaction to photos shared by BUA Group founder Abdul Samad Rabiu from Mecca, Saudi Arabia.

Rabiu, one of Nigeria’s prominent businessmen, posted images of himself at the Holy Kaaba while performing Umrah, the Islamic pilgrimage that can be undertaken outside the annual Hajj period.

In the photographs, the billionaire was dressed in the white ihram associated with Muslim pilgrims.

Rabiu accompanied the images with a message expressing gratitude for the opportunity to visit the holy site during the month of Maulud, which commemorates the birth of Prophet Muhammad.

“What a blessing to be here before the Holy Kaaba performing Umrah, in this blessed month of Maulud—the month of the birth of our beloved Prophet Muhammad,” he wrote.

He also prayed for the acceptance of the prayers and supplications of pilgrims in Saudi Arabia.

The post attracted reactions from followers and public figures, including Davido.

The singer left a brief but striking comment beneath the photos, calling Rabiu his “twin.”

“Twin,” Davido wrote.

The light-hearted exchange between the music star and one of Nigeria’s leading business figures quickly became a talking point among those who follow both personalities online.

Rabiu is the founder and chairman of BUA Group, a major Nigerian conglomerate with interests across manufacturing and other sectors, while Davido remains one of Africa’s most prominent contemporary music acts.
