Ali Bukar Dalori, acting National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), dismissed as mere speculation the idea that a nascent opposition coalition could unseat his party in 2027. He described such rumours as “hotel gossip” emanating from Abuja, with little traction nationally
In an interview with BBC Hausa and affirmed via X, Dalori described the coalition talk as a non-issue outside the capital.
He said, “We are not in any way threatened… they have nothing marketable to sell to people. We that came through merger… already enjoy that advantage” .
He also stressed his commitment to healing internal divides within the party, vowing to reconcile aggrieved members and maintain unity ahead of the next general elections .
Dalori, who formally took over from Ganduje in late June 2025, assured party faithful that internal mechanisms are actively being deployed to maintain stability and cohesion
He dismissed suggestions that the APC was under threat, stating they are “people-oriented” and confident in their grassroots engagement
