Caledonian Charity Cup returns to Ikoyi Club for orphanage fundraiser

The Caledonian Charity Cup is set to hold at Ikoyi Club 1938 on October 30, with 25 teams competing in an 18-hole tournament to raise funds for a Lagos orphanage.

Organised by the Lagos Caledonian Society, the event will channel its net proceeds to Foster Paradise Homes, a state-registered facility supporting orphans, abandoned children and vulnerable young people.

The tournament combines Scotland’s golfing traditions with charitable giving, community participation and fellowship.

The participating teams will represent Scottish towns and golfing destinations, including Milngavie, Gullane, Carnoustie, Dundee, North Berwick, Musselburgh, Dornoch and Blairgowrie.

A shotgun start will enable all teams to begin play simultaneously at different points on the course, creating a lively and competitive atmosphere.

After the competition, participants and guests will reconvene at the clubhouse for lunch, an awards presentation and a live auction. Trophies and prizes will be presented to the winning teams, while the auction will offer further opportunities to support the fundraising drive.

Corporate partners have also backed the event, helping to facilitate the tournament and advance its charitable goals.

The Lagos Caledonian Society is partnering with Concierge Sports, the event manager, to organise the competition and direct proceeds towards the welfare of children and young people at Foster Paradise Homes.
