Bag with Paris 2024 Security Plans Stolen – Sources

A City Hall engineer lost a suitcase that had two memory sticks with Olympic security plans and a computer, according to two individuals with firsthand knowledge of the situation.

Reporters were informed by one of the sources—who remained anonymous as they are under no legal obligation to speak about the matter—that the luggage was taken on a suburban train.

The degree of data sensitivity was not disclosed by the two sources.

The organizers of Paris 2024 declined to comment, and police were not immediately available for comment.

The dates of the Paris Olympics are July 26–August 11.

Approximately 30,000 police officers are anticipated to be called into duty each day during the Olympics, and 300,000 people are anticipated to attend the opening ceremony.
