Arsenal are reportedly weighing a move for Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford following Gabriel Martinelli’s imminent departure from the club.
According to the UK Telegraph, Martinelli is expected to leave the Emirates for a fee exceeding £50 million, which would make his transfer the most expensive sale in Arsenal’s history.
The Brazilian winger has reportedly approved a move to Saudi Pro League club Al Hilal after previously turning down an opportunity to join Galatasaray.
Martinelli’s impending exit has reportedly caused “some internal surprise” at Arsenal, with concerns that the club allowed the winger to leave before securing a replacement.
The Premier League champions are now considering Rashford as a potential solution and could pursue the England international on loan.
Rashford has spent the last two seasons away from Manchester United, featuring on loan for Aston Villa and Barcelona.
