American gospel singer Kirk Franklin has released a new song, ‘Hope In You’, featuring Nigerian Afrobeats star Davido.
The track is part of Franklin’s double album, I Am What I Am, which arrived on October 30, 2026, through Fo Yo Soul Recordings, TRIBL Records and Uptown Records.
The 14-track project features seven studio recordings and seven live performances, with guest appearances from Jelly Roll, GloRilla, Tobe Nwigwe and Davido.
Running for three minutes and 27 seconds, ‘Hope In You’ combines Franklin’s gospel sound with Afrobeats elements.
The song was first previewed at an exclusive listening session in Atlanta on October 12. It was described as featuring a steady bass rhythm and uplifting production, with Davido contributing a melodic verse.
Following the album’s release, Franklin and Davido performed the track on the music platform From The Block.
