Wikki Tourists Target NPFL Return As Abubakar Builds Competitive Squad

Wikki Tourists technical adviser, Bala Abubakar, says the club is focused on putting together a strong team capable of competing for promotion in the 2026-27 season.

The Bauchi-based side is currently preparing for its Nigeria National League, NNL, campaign, with Abubakar insisting that only players who demonstrate quality, commitment and readiness will earn a place in the final squad.

The tactician said the club’s main objective is to secure an immediate return to the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL.

“Our mission is clear, to return Wikki Tourists to the NPFL,” Abubakar told the club’s media.

“We know what is expected of us, and by the grace of Allah, with the support of our Management, Government, Supporters and all Stakeholders, we will achieve that goal.”

Wikki Tourists have recorded four victories and two defeats in six pre-season friendly matches as preparations continue for the new campaign.
