Ekiti United have officially confirmed their participation in the 2025–26 Nigeria National League (NNL) season.
The announcement was made in a statement issued by the club’s media officer, Blessing Akinyemi, who revealed that the club has successfully acquired a promotion slot to return to the country’s second-tier football league.
Ekiti United had previously failed to secure promotion through the Nationwide League One (NLO) playoffs after being relegated from the NNL at the end of the 2023–24 campaign.
A portion of the club’s statement reads: “We are delighted to share with our fans, stakeholders, and the entire Ekiti community that Ekiti United Football Club has successfully secured a slot in the NNL for the 2025/2026 season.”
