Ikorodu City Captain Waliu Ojetoye Secures Loan Move to Hapoel Jerusalem

Ikorodu City captain Waliu Ojetoye has reportedly finalized a move away from the club, agreeing to join Israeli outfit Hapoel Jerusalem on a one-year loan deal with an option for a permanent transfer.
The dynamic right-back garnered widespread attention last season for his standout performances, playing a key role in guiding Ikorodu City to promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) in 2023.
Ojetoye’s move abroad will see him miss out on the upcoming 2024 African Nations Championship, where he had been in contention to represent Nigeria. He was previously included among the home-based players selected by Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle for the Unity Cup held in London this past May.
The transfer marks a significant step forward in the 23-year-old’s career as he looks to test himself in European football.
