Nollywood actress Patience Ozokwo has declared support for Peter Obi ahead of the 2027 general elections, arguing that Nigeria’s abundant natural and human resources remain largely underutilised.
The veteran actress spoke at an event themed “Celebrities for Peter Obi,” where she highlighted her concerns about the country’s challenges and called for meaningful change.
Ozokwo, popularly known as Mama G, compared Nigeria to a child blessed with much but unable to make proper use of its resources. She said the nation’s wealth should have produced improved living conditions and stronger development.
She also criticised the unequal distribution of wealth, noting that while some individuals have amassed resources capable of supporting generations, many Nigerians continue to struggle economically.
Speaking to fellow entertainers, Ozokwo urged celebrities to use their visibility and influence to participate in discussions about Nigeria’s future.
Her comments come amid growing political activities and public debate ahead of the 2027 general elections.
