Super Eagles defender Bright Osayi-Samuel has reached an agreement to join Turkish Super Lig giants Besiktas on a free transfer.
Osayi-Samuel will make the switch from Fenerbahce, their Istanbul rivals, once his contract officially expires later this month. Despite receiving interest from several Premier League clubs, the versatile full-back has chosen to remain in Turkey and continue his career with Besiktas.
Reports from Turkey indicate that the Nigeria international will earn €2.5 million annually, in addition to a €1 million signing bonus. He is expected to officially complete the move next week after undergoing a medical examination.
Osayi-Samuel originally joined Fenerbahce from English Championship side Queens Park Rangers in January 2021. The 27-year-old featured in 27 league matches for the Yellow Canaries during the 2023/24 season.
