Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck has alleged that some artistes resort to voodoo in their pursuit of hit songs in the music industry.
The rapper, whose real name is Tochukwu Ojogwu, made the claim during an appearance on the Tea With Tay podcast, where he spoke about the challenges of achieving commercial success in music.
He argued that producing a hit record is difficult, noting that some artistes spend their entire careers without achieving one.
Odumodublvck also commended Burna Boy, Wizkid and Davido for their ability to release commercially successful songs consistently over the years.
“Getting a hit song is not easy. Sometimes people even do jazz to get one. That is why you see some artistes crashing out when they struggle to get a hit.
“Burna Boy, Wizkid and Davido have been dropping hit songs consistently for years. You have to respect that. Some artistes never get a hit song throughout their careers,” he said.
