‘Let Forgiveness Be Your New Song’: IPFLOA Founder Appeals to P-Square Brothers

Founder of the Initiative for Peace, Forgiveness and Love for One Another (IPFLOA), Ambassador Kingsley Atoe, has called on Nigerian music stars Peter and Paul Okoye to resolve their differences and rebuild their relationship.

Atoe made the appeal in a message directed at the estranged brothers, urging them to move beyond their disagreements, hurt and bitterness and restore their bond as siblings.

The intervention comes amid renewed attention on the long-running rift between the former P-Square members.

Peter and Paul reunited in 2021 after their initial split but fell out again in 2024 following disagreements surrounding their music business and their elder brother, Jude Okoye.

In his appeal, Atoe asked the brothers to reflect on their shared childhood, years of collaboration and the journey that led to the creation and success of P-Square.

He argued that the duo’s achievements were built on their combined talent, determination and shared ambition.

“Peter, reach out to Paul. Paul, reach out to Peter,” Atoe said, urging both musicians to place their relationship as brothers above their differences.

The IPFLOA founder also reminded the singers of the impact their story has had on millions of fans, particularly young people who followed their rise from humble beginnings to international musical success.

He said a reconciliation between the brothers would demonstrate that disagreements do not necessarily have to destroy relationships permanently.

“Show them that forgiveness is greater than bitterness. Show them that love is stronger than disagreement,” Atoe said, while encouraging the brothers to demonstrate that siblings can overcome conflict and rebuild their relationship.

Atoe further urged Peter and Paul to consider forgiveness and reconciliation as part of the legacy they leave behind, beyond their music, awards and other achievements.

“Let reconciliation become your new manager. Let forgiveness become your new song. Let peace become your greatest performance,” he said.

His intervention follows other calls for the Okoye brothers to settle their differences. Their elder brother, Henry Okoye, recently expressed doubts about a possible reunion but also appealed to Paul to forgive Peter and encouraged efforts to restore peace within the family.

Atoe concluded his message with a prayer for healing, asking that bitterness between the brothers be replaced with peace and renewed affection.

He urged Peter and Paul to come together again and show that brotherly love and forgiveness can overcome even deeply rooted disagreements.
