The London premiere of actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele’s upcoming movie, The Four, has sold out ahead of its scheduled date.
The film’s distributor, FilmOne Entertainment, announced the development on Thursday through its official Instagram account, confirming that tickets for the November 29 premiere are no longer available.
The event is scheduled to hold at Odeon Luxe Leicester Square in London.
“We are officially sold out! You made this happen! The premiere of The Four at ODEON Luxe Leicester Square is officially sold out, and we couldn’t be more grateful,” the distributor said.
Akindele had earlier announced the UK premiere on her verified Instagram account, describing it as a historic moment for Nigerian cinema.
In her announcement, she wrote: “LONDON, WE’RE COMING! History is about to be made. Funke Akindele Network and FilmOne Entertainment are proud to announce the UK premiere of THE FOUR at the iconic ODEON Luxe Leicester Square, London, on 29 November.”
The London premiere will take place ahead of the film’s nationwide cinema release in Nigeria, scheduled for December 11.
Akindele is known for producing and starring in several commercially successful Nollywood films, including Everybody Loves Jenifa.
