Nollywood actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele has encouraged emerging filmmakers to remain committed to their ambitions as she prepares to achieve a major milestone with her upcoming movie, The Four: No One Fights Alone.
Akindele announced on X on Monday that the film would premiere in the United Kingdom on November 29 at the ODEON Luxe Leicester Square in London.
The screening will mark the first time a Nollywood production premieres at the 791-seat venue, according to the filmmaker.
Reacting to the development, Akindele expressed excitement over the achievement but said its significance extended beyond her personal success.
She noted that inspiring young creatives to believe in their abilities and pursue careers in filmmaking remained one of the most meaningful aspects of her journey.
The actress urged aspiring Nollywood filmmakers not to abandon their dreams, expressing hope that the industry’s growing international presence would create more opportunities for emerging talents to tell their stories.
Akindele described the milestone as the result of sustained hard work and dedication, adding that it represented an opportunity for the Nigerian film industry to achieve even greater success.
She also acknowledged her cast, crew, fans and supporters for their contributions and continued encouragement.
The Four: No One Fights Alone is scheduled to open in cinemas across Nigeria on December 11, following its UK premiere.
