The family of late Nollywood actor, Francis Duru, has announced that he will be buried on December 11, 2026, at his family’s compound in Imo State.
The burial arrangements were disclosed in a statement shared on the actor’s official Instagram page on Monday.
The statement, jointly signed by his sister, Anthonia Chenyi, and first son, Ebuka Duru, outlined a series of funeral activities scheduled to take place in Abuja and Imo State.
According to the family, a service of songs will be held in Abuja on Wednesday, November 25, 2026, at 5:00 pm at Family Worship Center, Idris Gidado Street, Wuye.
Another service of songs is scheduled for Thursday, December 10, at the late Pa Theophilus Ogide Duru’s family compound in Okai, Eziama, Isiala Mbano, Imo State.
The funeral and interment will follow on Friday, December 11, at the same location.
The family also invited members of the public to join them in honouring the late actor.
Francis Duru reportedly died on October 22, 2026, at the age of 59, following an illness whose details were not publicly disclosed.
