Brentford have made their best-ever start to a Premier League season after defeating Chelsea 3-0 at the Gtech Community Stadium.
The Bees produced a dominant second-half display, with Jaidon Anthony, Igor Thiago and Fabio Carvalho finding the net.
The result also extends Brentford’s unbeaten start to the campaign, giving Keith Andrews’ side nine points from five matches.
“At half-time, he (Andrews) just wanted us to increase the intensity and keep believing,” Anthony said.
“Fab [Carvalho] told me a couple of days ago that I was going to score, so I’m really happy with that one. It was an unbelievable feeling.”
Their nine-point tally surpasses the club’s previous best start after five top-flight games, when they collected eight points in the 2021-22 season.
