The APC Presidential Campaign Council says it will take its message directly to Nigerians ahead of the 2027 elections, with President Bola Tinubu’s achievements expected to feature prominently in its campaign.
The Director-General of the council, Senator Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar, stated this during a courtesy visit to the palace of the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, as part of the council’s political engagements in Oyo State.
Yari expressed confidence in Tinubu’s leadership, experience and capacity to steer the country’s affairs, saying the President’s performance and achievements would provide a strong basis for the party’s re-election campaign.
He, however, said the APC would not take Nigerians for granted because it controls the Federal Government.
According to him, the party would engage voters directly, explain the administration’s achievements and present its plans for the future rather than rely solely on the advantage of incumbency.
Yari also acknowledged Senator Sharafadeen Alli, the APC governorship candidate in Oyo State, for facilitating the delegation’s visit to the monarch.
Responding, Oba Ladoja assured the delegation that Oyo State would deliver massive votes for Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.
The monarch also expressed delight at the calibre of the delegation, which included former governors, serving senators and other prominent APC chieftains.
