Aston Villa have completed the signing of Senegal winger Ibrahim Mbaye from Paris Saint-Germain for a reported £47 million ($63 million).
The 18-year-old made 31 appearances across competitions for PSG last season, helping the French giants secure both the Champions League and Ligue 1 titles.
Mbaye also featured four times for Senegal at the 2026 World Cup, scoring against France to become the youngest African player to find the net in the men’s tournament.
“Aston Villa is delighted to announce the signing of Ibrahim Mbaye from Paris Saint-Germain,” the club said in a statement.
“The Senegal international, a bright and exciting young prospect who scored for his country at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, joins on a permanent transfer.”
The France-born winger becomes Villa’s latest arrival following a major reshaping of the squad during the close season.
After ending a 30-year wait for silverware by winning the Europa League last season, Villa have parted with Morgan Rogers, Youri Tielemans, Ollie Watkins, Lucas Digne, Emiliano Martinez and Ezri Konsa.
Manager Unai Emery has strengthened the squad with Alejandro Garnacho, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Johan Manzambi, Zion Suzuki, Joao Gomes, Leon Goretzka, Matteo Ruggeri and Nicolas Jackson.
