Pete Edochie’s Family Enlists DSS to Apprehend TikToker Behind Fake Death Rumours

The family of veteran Nollywood actor Pete Edochie has reached out to the Department of State Services (DSS) to apprehend a TikTok user who falsely claimed the actor had died.

The move follows a series of viral posts that circulated misinformation about Edochie’s death, which the family and his management quickly debunked.

In a recent Instagram video, Edochie’s first son, Leo Edochie, described the rumours as “a lie from the pit of hell.”

On Thursday evening, Leo confirmed on Facebook that he had contacted the DSS regarding the TikToker, whose handle is @ONE_BOR001, and announced a cash reward for anyone providing information leading to the individual’s arrest.

He wrote, “This young man posted a video on TikTok that our father is dead. Anyone with information that will lead to his arrest will be handsomely rewarded in cash. I have contacted DSS and they are on his trail. DM me with the information, and you will receive your reward once he is apprehended.”

The family’s swift action highlights ongoing concerns about the spread of false information on social media and its impact on public figures.
