APC Suspends Former Rep, Nine Others in Kebbi Over Alleged Anti-Party Activities

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kebbi State has suspended former House of Representatives member, Muhammad Shehu Koko, alongside nine key party officials from Koko Local Government Area, citing alleged anti-party conduct and internal sabotage.

The suspended officials include the APC Koko LGA Vice Chairman, Muhammad Danyado; Secretary, Biyaminu Muhammad; and Women Leader, Talatu Zauro. Others affected include the Youth Leader, Financial Secretary, Welfare Secretary, and additional local executive members.

In a letter obtained by Channels Television, the suspension was based on allegations of disloyalty, harassment of party leadership, and actions deemed detrimental to party cohesion. The document was signed by the APC Chairman in Koko LGA, Muhammad Maibarga; the LGA Executive Chairman, Sirajo Usman Koko; and 14 other party stakeholders.

Although representatives of the former lawmaker declined to comment officially, sources close to the camp hinted that the move may be politically motivated linked to Koko’s alleged plans to contest for a senatorial seat, a development that has reportedly ruffled feathers among party power brokers in the state.
