Woli Arole weighs in on Toluwanisings’ burial dispute, urges family to end controversy

Comedian and preacher Woli Arole has appealed to those involved in the burial dispute surrounding late gospel singer Olayemi Bayonile Bolaji, popularly known as Toluwanisings, to resolve their differences and allow him a dignified burial.

Arole made the appeal in an Instagram video, describing the singer’s death as a painful loss to his family, friends and colleagues in the entertainment and gospel music industry.

He said the deceased was a remarkable talent whose passing had left many of those close to him struggling to come to terms with the loss.

The comedian also criticised individuals allegedly using the burial controversy to attract attention on social media, arguing that public discussions should instead focus on the family Toluwanisings left behind.

He particularly expressed concern about the singer’s wife and two children, urging those involved to consider their welfare during the difficult period.

Arole further advised stakeholders to settle any outstanding disagreements privately rather than prolonging the controversy through interviews and public exchanges.

According to him, the circumstances surrounding the singer’s burial should not overshadow the contributions he made through his music.

He maintained that Toluwanisings’ legacy would endure regardless of the burial arrangements, urging his supporters and colleagues to channel their efforts towards preserving his memory and supporting his immediate family.

The preacher also called for prayers and support for the deceased’s wife and children, expressing hope that the public disagreement would come to an end.

Toluwanisings’ family announced his death in the early hours of October 14, 2026, but did not disclose the cause.

The singer’s burial arrangements have since generated controversy, following objections from a family representative to a proposed cemetery burial and a threat to exhume his remains if the interment proceeded there.
