VeryDarkMan Slams Naira Marley for Forgiving Iyabo Ojo Over Mohbad Allegations
Activist says singer backed out of planned legal action after actress offered apology at police meeting

Social commentator Martins Otse, better known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has voiced his frustration over singer Naira Marley’s decision to forgive actress Iyabo Ojo amid allegations linking him to the death of late artist Mohbad.
In a video shared on his TikTok page, VDM disclosed that he had encouraged Naira Marley to pursue legal action against Ojo for what he described as defamatory remarks and online bullying. The remarks, according to him, had damaged the singer’s public image and musical career in the wake of Mohbad’s controversial passing.
VDM claimed that they had planned to file a formal complaint, but Naira Marley changed his mind after Ojo reportedly apologized in Yoruba during a meeting at the Lagos State Commissioner of Police’s office.
“I told Naira Marley to hold Iyabo Ojo accountable, but he insisted that Allah would be the judge,” VDM said in the video. “He was meant to express how her statements had affected his life and career, but once she apologized, he forgave her instantly. I was shocked and disappointed.”
He further revealed that the meeting, which was also attended by music promoter Sam Larry, ended in emotional tension. Sam Larry, according to VDM, was visibly upset by Naira Marley’s sudden change of heart and reportedly wept at the scene.
VDM expressed doubt over the sincerity of the apology and warned that Ojo may not stick to any verbal agreement made during the meeting.
Naira Marley and Sam Larry were cleared of any involvement in Mohbad’s death by a Lagos court earlier this year, following a high-profile investigation that sparked public outrage and intense media scrutiny.
The saga continues to stir debate across social media, with many questioning whether public figures should be held accountable for online commentary that may impact legal investigations or reputations.
