Super Falcons Head to Morocco for WAFCON Preparations

Nigeria’s Super Falcons are set to arrive in Morocco on Wednesday to finalize their preparations ahead of the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
Justine Madugu’s team played a goalless draw against hosts Portugal in a friendly match held at the Estadio Jose Gomes on Monday night.
The squad will undergo a light training session on Tuesday before traveling to Morocco.
The Super Falcons are scheduled to play another friendly match on Sunday against their long-time rivals, the Black Queens of Ghana.
Nigeria will open their WAFCON 2024 campaign with a group stage match against Tunisia in Casablanca on Sunday, July 6.
The nine-time African champions will also face Botswana and Algeria in the group stage.
