Regina Chukwu Turned Back at Mo Bimpe, Lateef’s Triplets Thanksgiving

Nollywood actress Regina Chukwu was reportedly denied entry into the thanksgiving ceremony organised by actors Lateef Adedimeji and Mo Bimpe to celebrate the birth of their triplets.

The event, held in Lagos on Wednesday, attracted several personalities from the Nigerian entertainment industry, alongside relatives, friends and associates of the couple.

The gathering was reportedly a strictly invitation-only affair. According to the couple’s event planner, Omobolale Gold, guests were required to present an access card or wear the designated Aso Ebi to gain entry into the venue.

Despite her prominence in Nollywood, Chukwu was reportedly stopped by security personnel at the entrance.

A video showing the incident later circulated online, drawing attention from fans and entertainment followers.

Chukwu subsequently addressed the development in an Instagram post on Thursday, although she did not immediately disclose what led to her being stopped at the venue.

The actress said she would return with an account of what happened, while initially directing attention to her appearance for the event.

“I am coming with a story time on what happened yesterday but first let’s appreciate my glam team and their dedication,” she wrote.

She added: “You can say anything but y’all will admit I look really good yesterday. My glam didn’t come to play.”

The actress has yet to provide her full account of the incident at the time of reporting.

The thanksgiving was held to celebrate the triplets welcomed by Lateef and Mo Bimpe, who are both prominent figures in the Yoruba-language film industry.

Chukwu’s promised “story time” is expected to provide further context on what happened at the entrance and why she was reportedly unable to attend the ceremony.
