Poco Lee’s Management Draws Line Under ‘Drink Spiking’ Claims in UK Case

The management of Nigerian dancer and entertainer Poco Lee has rejected reports linking “drink spiking” to the ongoing legal proceedings against him in the United Kingdom.

In a statement dated August 25, 2026, the management said the claim, alongside other unverified narratives circulating online, does not feature among the allegations or charges before the UK court.

The team expressed concern over what it described as the growing spread of information that is not contained in the actual court case.

“We are particularly concerned by the volume of unverified narratives currently circulating, including claims referencing ‘drink spiking’, among other allegations, which do not form part of any of the allegations or charges before the court,” the statement said.

The management appealed to media organisations and members of the public to stick to information that has been established through the legal proceedings.

“We ask the public and media to desist from introducing details that are not part of the actual case, as doing so only fuels misinformation and causes unfair prejudice to all parties involved,” it added.

The team also stressed that the allegations against Poco Lee should not be interpreted as a finding of guilt, urging the public to allow the judicial process to run its course.

“Allegations are not evidence of guilt, and no conclusions should be drawn until the matter has been heard and determined through the appropriate legal process,” the management said.

The statement comes amid heightened public interest in Poco Lee’s legal situation, with details of the case generating widespread discussion on social media.

The dancer is expected to appear before Snaresbrook Crown Court in London on September 15, 2026, for plea and trial preparation.

The court has confirmed that the proceedings involve allegations including attempted rape, two counts of rape and assault by penetration. A reporting restriction is in place to protect the identity of the complainant.

Poco Lee has not been convicted of any offence, and the allegations remain subject to determination by the court.
